The Story

Michael Shigeru Sbicca aka Jungle Modern Ceramics is an artist based out of Pasadena, CA. Sbicca started his company in 2012. He is known for his high fire hand built mugs and bowls.

The Drink

Big Bamboo – Served at the Mai-Kai, but only to inductees into the Okole Maluna Society. The Big Bamboo evolved into the milder Mara Amu, which the Mai-Kai still serves today.

Jamaican Dark Rum – ½ ounce
Virgin Islands Gold Rum – 1 ounce
Fresh Grapefruit Juice – ½ ounce
Fresh Lime Juice – ½ ounce
Fresh Orange Juice – ½ ounce
Passion Fruit Syrup – ½ ounce
Angostura Bitters – 2 dashes

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend at high speed for 5 seconds. Pour into the Bamboo Mug with crushed ice. Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
