Tiki Mug – Tommy Bahama – Marlin Bar 2005 – Just Duet

The Tommy Bahama brand was conceived by Bob Emfield and Tony Margolis, who, while relaxing at their beach houses, envisioned a fictional character named Tommy Bahama living the ultimate “one long weekend” lifestyle. They created a line of upscale, casual apparel, starting with men’s wear, and later expanded into women’s wear, accessories, and home furnishings. The first Tommy Bahama store and restaurant opened in Naples, Florida, in the mid-1990s.

Bahama Mama – This fruity, tiki-style drink includes three types of rum. The aged rum provides a vanilla and caramel base, while the coconut rum and toffee-like blackstrap rum layer in flavor and complexity.

Aged Rum – 1 ounce
Blackstrap Rum – ¼ ounce
Coconut Rum – ¾ ounce
Fresh Orange Juice – 1 ¼ ounce
Fresh Pineapple Juice – 1 ¼ ounce
Coco Lopez – ½  ounce
Grenadine Syrup – ½ ounce
Angostura Bitters – 1 dash

Combine all ingredients into a shaker and fill with ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds. Strain the contents of the shaker into the Just Duet Mug filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and a pineapple wedge speared on a cocktail pick.
