The Artist: Jeff Granito, received a BA in history at Tufts University in Boston, MA and a BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. From his home studio in Southern California, he creates art for well known clients including multiple Disney divisions, Warner Brothers, DC Comics, Fox, Sesame Workshop, Nickelodeon, In-N-Out Burger, Ruby’s Diner, Paramount Pictures, Skechers, Dark Hall Mansion, Lucky Brand, Victoria’s Secret, Tilly’s, and many more. Recent creative highlights include: Epcot International Festival of the Arts, Disneyland Decades Collection, Disneyland Club 33, Disney’s WonderGround, The Hukilau, Tiki Oasis, Tiki Kon, Golden Optimist Tiki, Trader Vic’s, and Knott’s Scary Farm.

Jungle Bird – This cocktail is for those who think that tiki drinks are always sweet. This Campari-based drink not only has a vivid red color, but a distinct bitter note that comes from the orange aperitif and the dark Jamaican rum. It’s rich and complex, with layers of flavor that will ensure you finish your drink so quickly that you’ll need a second so that you can pick through them again.

Dark Jamaican Rum – 1 ounce
Campari Liqueur – 1 ¼ ounces
Cointreau Liqueur – ½ ounce
Fresh Lime Juice – 1 ounce 
Orgeat Syrup – ½ ounce
Spiced Simple Syrup – ¼ ounce

Combine all ingredients  in a shaker and fill with crushed ice. Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds. Strain contents of the shaker into the Birds Singing Words Glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge speared on a cocktail pick.
