Since 1956, visitors the world over have come to the Mai-Kai for its award-winning Cantonese and American cuisine, tropical drinks and authentic South Seas setting, including thatched huts, torches, waterfalls, lagoons and magnificent gardens. You may dine in an elegant semi-private dining room or enjoy the merriment of dinner and the spectacular Polynesian Revue.

The Drink

The Mystery Drink – Only the bold of heart should trifle with the potent and famous “Mystery Drink” or the Mystery Girl. An exotic vision of pagan desirability. Serves 4

Blended Lightly Aged Rum – 4 ounces
Brandy – 2 ounces
London Dry Gin – 4 ounces
Fresh Lime Juice – 2 ounces
Fresh Orange Juice – 4 ounces
Demerara Syrup – 1 1/2 ounces
Orgeat Syrup – 2 ounces

Combine all ingredients in a mixing tin without ice and roll (pour back and forth) with another mixing tin to combine ingredients evenly and split in half. Add ice to each cup and flash blend with a drink mixer for 3 seconds. Pour contents of both cups into the Mystery Bowl. Serve with 20-inch luau straws for easier sharing. Add fire to taste.
