Tiki Mug – Orchids of Hawaii – Happy Buddha R-97

Orchids of Hawaii was a restaurant supply company known for producing Tiki mugs and other ceramics, primarily for the restaurant and bar industry. They operated from the Bronx, New York, and sourced their ceramics from Japan and later Taiwan. The company was active for a period between 1962 and 1994, with the Japanese production likely preceding the Taiwanese. Orchids of Hawaii, along with Otagiri Mercantile Company (OMC), were major mass producers of these collectible items.

Happy Buddha – Guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The Happy Buddha is an easy-to-drink guava cocktail that is a delightful pink color. 

White Rum – 1 ½ ounces
Ginger Liqueur – ½ ounce
Guava Nectar – 2 ounces
Simple Syrup – 1 ounce

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and fill with ice cubes. Shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds. Strain the contents of the shaker into the Happy Buddha Mug filled with crushed ice. Garnish with fresh guava speared on a cocktail pick.
